STEP 1
New can!
Open your tin, take out the sealed bag and empty all the matcha into the tin.
Tip: Once opened, store it in the refrigerator, tightly sealed.
STEP 2
New Chasen!
Place the chasen (bamboo whisk) in a bowl of hot, not boiling, water for 30–60 seconds.
This softens the bristles and prevents them from breaking when beating.
Step 3
Add the matcha and water
Add 3g of matcha and 30ml of hot water at 70–80°C to the Chawan.
STEP 5
Bat with energy
Beat vigorously with the chasen in a W or M shape for 15–25 seconds, barely touching the bottom.
Objective: to dissolve lumps and create a fine foam on the surface.
